Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness [ CMCA ] for the Academic Year 2016 – 17 ‘ The Legends of Peace ’ civic club was launched on the 25th of August 2016.
The programme was held in the school during the assembly. Rev. Bro. Titus Anto, Principal of St. Francis High School, Mr. Ashish Patel, CEO of CMCA and Mrs. Vandana, Volunteer for CMCA presided over the function.
The new members actively participated in various programmes and received their badges. The club members inspired and spread awareness amongst their friends with their motto ‘ Be the change you want to see. ’
Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness helps students develop knowledge, values, skills and commitment for active citizenship. Students imbibe values of equality, justice, liberty, diversity, the basic principles of democracy and participate in investigating and identifying issues in their schools, colleges and communities and finding solutions by engaging with authorities. Nurturing these values and skills is the realm of citizenship education.
